Is this really working?

Wow! I just discovered that in addition to deleting my last 20 downloaded apps , the most recent apple update allows me to to blog from my iPad directly from the blogger website without any e-mail work arounds. Maybe I will do better at blogging more frequently now. Maybe.

Today we went with Sam's preschool class to a farm. They had lots of different activities to do, some Sam loved- the train ride and the peddle cars and the swings, and some Sam hated- the bounce house and all of the animals. Except for ducks and the baby chickens. Those were okay to him. Hopefully his aunts got some cute pictures that I can post later.

While it was a fun adventure it left me feeling too hot and extremely tired. Basically the same way I feel anytime I have to venture outside so far this pregnancy. Really... I am always tired no matter what I do. Thankfully I am not too sick yet- as long as I put food in my belly every 2-3 hours. Sam finally seems to be accepting that we are going to have a new baby that is not him. He tells me where the baby is, and that the baby's name is pumpkin. All of the kids are really excited, but they don't seem to quite get how long it will take. I have told them how tiny the baby still is- but I am still getting asked if the baby is kicking yet and if they can feel my belly. Hannah is thinking a little bit more long term and asking if she will be old enough to change this babies diapers. We told her no when Sam was born- but I think a 9 year old will be much better at it than a 5 year old. It will be a whole different experience this time around having big kids that can help effectively instead of having practically all babies in the house.

Picture Day!

Today was picture day at school.  We didn’t order any, so we decided to take some at home.  Let me know what you think!

And 2 eyes, 2 ears, 1 nose and 1 mouth bigger.  You get the idea… right?

 

We are having another baby!   The kids are very excited.  We are only 4 weeks along. I know that lots of people wait till they are out of the miscarriage  “danger zone” to tell everyone,  but we are really happy so we wanted to let everyone else be happy with us.  And worse case scenario, you can mourn with us.  Best case scenario- you will be a little more understanding of me not having it all together right now. 

First Day of School!

Kids went back to school on Monday, and everyone is excited about this except for Sam.

Hannah is in 3rd grade with Mrs. Shidawara,  Brad is in 2nd with Mrs. Davis, and Bekah is in kindergarten with Mrs. Wojo (wojtulewicz).   And yes,  her father-in-law is the same Mr. W who taught me, Aaron and Dylan at Emerson back in the day. 

They love each other so much!  At least when they know they have made it to the end of summer without killing each other…

 

This picture made me laugh- parents were trying to get the girl behind Bekah to smile for a picture and she was being an absolute snot to them.  At first I wanted a better picture of Bekah,  but I think her face exactly mirrors my face as we listened to the other family. And I didn’t want to sound as obnoxious as they did. 

Bekah was my first child to not cry when I left her classroom,  but Sam did.   Me and Sam have had a good time being buddies at home most of the time, but mornings are hard- he either stays at home and cries when the kids leave, or he goes for the ride and cries when all the kids get out of the car.  One morning he was sobbing  “I want my brother and sisters at home!”    This morning he did fine till we pulled into the garage and declared “I don’t have any friends here anymore!”

Hannah is getting baptized!

On June 12th Hannah turned 8 and she has made the decision to be baptized.  It will take place July 9th at 1:00, at the LDS  Queen Creek Stake Center, and afterwards we will have food at our house.  If you would like addresses or any more info please e-mail me at  Chaseandlizblog@gmail.com.

Dad and brad left sam with the girls today... he wanted his nails painted too... At least he picked blue.
